Notas de Noruega is coming back!

This October, as every year, the event «Notas de Noruega» will take place in Covarrubias, Burgos, Spain.

The purpose of this meeting is to strengthen the ties between the town of Burgos and its sister town in Norway, Tonsberg. Every October, cultural events are held to show the diversity and richness of Norwegian culture on Spanish soil, with the aim of honouring the resting place of Princess Kristina of Norway, buried in the Collegiate Church of San Cosme y San Damián.

This year’s plan is organised around two days, 8 and 9 October.
On 8 October at 17:30 the Brotherhood of St. Olav and the association Amigos de la Música will organise a Theatre performance about Saint Olav’s life.
At 19:30 in the Arlanza Hall there will be an exhibition of paintings, poetry and a concert by Ellen Lange, illustrator and actress. In this part of the event, Ellen Lange will paint live with mixed technique and at the same time contemporary folk songs by Norwegian musicians will be performed. Furthermore, compositions by the artist Bergliot Hørgård (her grandmother) will be displayed.
The day will end with a dinner at 21:30, organised by the Brotherhood of St. Olav.

On 9 October, the Notes from Norway event will conclude with a concert at 12:50 in the Collegiate Church, by the violinists Gjermund Larsen and Einar Olav Larsen.
